Greetings friends, today I will be reviewing my recent delivery of limited edition Robot Damashii collectible action figures from Japan. It is a sad note that Terrible Analogies took off the blogroll entry for My Love For Life Review. Well onwards to the review. To be honest, I was ordering most of the Robot Damashii figures for a friend but he decided to break his promise and leave me stranded with his orders. Thanks for teaching me a very valuable lesson in life Thaddeus Chong Min Yi: never ever place an order for someone without getting an initial non refundable deposit first. Anyway here is an overview of the delivery box. As you can see, it is sent via EMS shipping which is more expensive but faster. I personally will always go for SAL shipping but the seller only uses EMS.

I ordered a few collectibles from Amazon via a proxy seller in Japan and this business of ordering via proxy is definitely going to cost more. Since Amazon Japan does not deliver internationally, proxy service is currently the only viable method for buyers outside of Japan. That is unless you have friends or family staying in Japan. Well after more than 3 weeks of waiting, my order has finally arrived. Here is an overview of the delivery.

It is time for another round of delivery review, this time focusing on Robot Damashii and Kotobukiya model kits. This delivery came from Amiami Japan and they always managed to surprise me in a not so pleasant way in the amount they charge for shipping. That will teach me to think twice before ordering anything from them again, unless they change the way they charge for shipping. After placing my order, it took them over 1 week to finally ship my items out even though they were in stock. It took over 4 weeks for my delivery to arrive and here is an overview of the delivery box.

As fellow collectors should know, the term "limited edition" goes hand in hand with a hefty price tag. Well this time my purchases cost higher if not the highest currently in my collection. The limited edition items were all ordered from Japan and the delivery took about 1 week to arrive because it was sent via EMS. Luckily the seller followed my instructions to declare the values lower than actual and mark them as gifts so I did not have to fork out more money for import tax. As a followup to my TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia Model Kit assembly video posted last week, here is the actual review of the assembled TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia Model Kit. Compared to my previous Bandai NG 1/100 Gundam Exia Review, this TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia is smaller at 1/144 scale. Here is the comparison of the TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia with the clear soda can. The TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia is slightly taller than the clear soda can by 1cm at the highest tip of the V fin.

My Love For Life Review

It has been quite a while since My Love For Life Gundam Review of Bandai NG Gundam Exia Review. This time we will look at the introductory review of the TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia model kit. The TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia is scaled at 1/144 so it is smaller than the Bandai NG Gundam Exia which is scaled at 1/100. Here is the box art of the TT Hongli HG Gundam Exia.

EMSIA stands for Extended Mobile Suit In Action which is an older line of Gundam action figure series by Bandai. I ordered EMSIA Freedom Gundam and EMSIA Justice Gundam for my friend Thaddeus from my supplier in Hong Kong and they have finally arrived after nearly 3 weeks of waiting. Here is the overview of the delivery parcel.

I ordered the Robot Damashii Crossbone Gundam X-1 for my friend Thaddeus and it finally arrived after nearly 3 weeks of waiting. From my previous experience of getting deliveries from Hong Kong, this parcel is also wrapped with green wrapping paper. It is also a nice touch that the seller used conventional postage stamps instead of the post office postage paid labels. Here is the overview of the parcel.

After removing the outer layer of green wrapping paper, this is what I got. Good to know the seller buffered the Robot Damashii Crossbone Gundam X-1 with cardboard.

And within the cardboard buffer is a layer of bubble wrap. Nice!

This is how the cardboard buffer layer looks like once spreaded out. Kudos to the seller for taking the extra step to make a custom cardboard buffer layer.

It is a shame that the window of the packing box of the Robot Damashii Crossbone Gundam X-1 sustained some cracks. Not sure whether this preexist before the delivery.

I just wished that the packing box of the Robot Damashii Crossbone Gundam X-1 would be in good condition upon arrival since I got this for my friend Thaddeus. It is just disappointing to see some damage on the packing box window.

My Love For Life Review

The Robot Damashii 00 Gundam Seven Sword was very popular when it first came out. It was sold out at most places and most had to wait for a re-release. Luckily I managed to snag one for my friend Thaddeus from my regular supplier and after 3 weeks of waiting my parcel has finally arrived.

The parcel box looked worn out due to the rough postal handling during shipment.

Open box shot reveals that the seller used bubble wrap to buffer the Robot Damashii 00 Gundam Seven Sword which is a good thing.

The Robot Damashii 00 Gundam Seven Sword arrived in generally good condition apart from some minor indents on the back side of the packing box. It would be a huge improvement if a piece of hard cardboard was used to guard the item from any indents caused by rough handling.

My Love For Life Review

Its time for another round of delivery of Robot Damashii Gundam action figures. The delivery originates from Hong Kong thus the green outer layer of wrapping paper. Here's a top down overview of the delivery parcel.

Notice the thin and sharp piece of nylon rope used to tie the parcel with? Well according to Borneo Falcon it is a sign that this parcel has been opened for customs inspection.

The following photo highlights the most damaged area of the parcel, probably due to over stacking. Coincidentally, it also shows the side of the parcel that has been opened up for customs inspection.

Ah yes, more wonderful postage stamps featuring little birdies and not so little birdies.

Nice to see the contents of robot damashii action figures are individually bubble wrapped inside the parcel box, buffered by pieces of packing Styrofoam.

After removing the Robot Damashii O Gundam, the Crossbone Gundam X2 Custom can be seen at the base.

Here are the two Robot Damashii action figures outside the parcel box. The Crossbone Gundam X2 Custom has a bigger box because of the extra accessories it comes with, thus the more expensive price.

As a followup to the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock delivery, here is the delivery review of the HCM Pro Gundam Heavyarms and HCM Pro Wing Gundam. Delivery time frame is more or less the same as the previous one which is about 3 weeks. Anyway here is the overview of the shipping box. Generally it is in good condition upon arrival.

It seems like this delivery box has been opened up for inspection by the customs department. This picture shows how the box flaps are unsecured upon arrival.
