Japan Shipment Delivery Review
This is my first time ordering items online which uses fedex international economy as delivery method. I chose fedex international economy over SAL because when you reach a certain shipping weight SAL actually cost more than fedex. Shipping time was fast: got the delivery in less than a week! Here is the overview of the shipping box.
This is the first time I encounter such label packing method: affix a zip lock bag and seal the shipping documents inside.
The seller reused the packing box for a Panasonic SC-HC5-K compact stereo system to ship my orders.
I guess even by using fedex international economy the delivery box will also suffer some rough handling damage.
Fedex international economy shipping label.
Japanese fragile/handle with care sticker.
Open box shot reveals a white envelope on top of old newspaper buffers.
The envelope actually contains a copy of the shipping documentation which states some interesting points regarding the items:
- No commercial value
- Not for resell use
- Personal belongings
- Value for customs purpose only
Perhaps this is also a good way to avoid those unnecessary import taxes.
After removing the white envelope, you can catch a glimpse of the figma boxes.
While rummaging through the newspaper buffers, I found a pleasant surprise hidden within. At the back of the small packet is a thank you note with an indication of who the packer of this order is: Nakamura.
From the front you can see it is actually a free gift in the form of a Prism Ark mobile phone strap which is made out of rubbery material. Nice and cute^^
Also hidden within the newspaper buffers is a stack of colorful product leaflets.
I am not familiar with the Re-Ment line of collectibles but the Disney products sure looks cute!
I think there are more than 10 product leaflets in the stack.
My figma Miyuki Takara winter school uniform version still in wrapping paper.
Still left 3 items in the delivery box.
After removing my figma Asakura Ryoko from the delivery box the wrapping paper was torn.
So I decided to remove the wrapping paper completely and take a frontal shot of the box of figma Asakura Ryoko.
My figma Drossel (yes finally!!!) still in wrapping paper.

Revoltech Suzuki Delivery Review
I was not planning on getting Revoltech Suzuki because I am not familiar with the character but since it was on sale, I finally grabbed 2 in the last few minutes of the sales period. Man I think I have a case of impulsive buying disorder... Well after nearly 3 weeks of waiting my small packet delivery has finally arrived. Overview of the shipping box.
From my previous experience, the playasia shipping box tend to be of lower quality compared to HLJ and thus will suffer more postal damage easily.
Closeup on the shipping label with integrated customs declaration form (CN22).
After lifting the flap of the box I am presented with a whole bunch of shipping pallets. Bad for health and the environment, good to buffer the items though.
After carefully removing most of the packing pallets I get to see my 2 Revoltech Suzuki at the bottom of the shipping box.

Closeup on the rear side of the paper ring shows the other available revoltechs.
Closeup on the front side of the paper ring shows Revoltech Suzuki smiling sporting golden drill bits on both arms.
Closeup on actual Revoltech Suzuki through the box window.
Another side of the paper ring highlights the fraulein series which focus on female characters.
Generally I am pleased with the delivery of Revoltech Suzuki.

M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure Review
The first My Love For Life Figure Review is on a trading figure by Volks. They are famous for their elite luxury line of dollfie products but they are way too expensive for me to own. Instead, I will humbly kick start the figure review with M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure Review. The nature of trading figures is that they come randomly sealed in boxes and you need to purchase several or in a factory sealed set in order to maximize your chances of getting the complete set. They are generally small in size and require some assembly out of the box.
Lets take a close look on the box of the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure. This is the front box design. I find it rather nice and colorful, featuring the entire cast of characters from the anime Shin Koihime Musou.
Top box design.
Back box design featuring all 6 characters in the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou trading figure line.
Left side box design.
Right side box design.
Bottom box design. Notice how it is stated "FOR JAPAN ONLY". Not sure if the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou trading figures are officially authorized to be sold outside Japan. Here you can also see the retail price in Japanese yen which is 1260yen (about USD$14) including tax. The truth is I paid a premium to get this at USD$17.90 shipping included.
Onwards with the review. Frontal view of the box.

Right side view of the box.
Size comparison with clear soda can. The box is taller than the soda can about 3 cm.
Open box view, taking a peek of the contents within.
As you can see, all the parts and components of the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure are packaged in clear plastic bags.
Size comparison between the contents, box and clear soda can.
Time to carefully open up each parts from their sealed plastic bags with my trusty pair of scissors.
After removing the outer layer plastic bag, each part of the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure is individually sealed in their own plastic bag. Here is an overview of all the parts.
The head of Toka still in plastic bag.
The headless body of Toka still in plastic bag. This is obviously the largest part of the M.O.E. Burning Shin Koihime Musou Ryubi (Toka) Trading Figure.

Clear plastic base sealed in plastic bag.
The sword of Toka sealed in plastic bag.
Closeup on the Toka's head. The face painting is nicely done especially the eyes.
Rear view closeup on Toka's head. Love the way the hair is made to depict flowing motion caused by the wind blowing.
Top view closeup on Toka's head. Volks could have modeled this side of the head to be more rounded rather than squarish especially around the hair bangs.
Closeup on Toka's left hair-bun or ox horn. Some paint spilling over can be seen here onto the white hair-bun.
Closeup on Toka's right hair frill. Nice dynamic twirl motion.
Closeup on Toka's right hair frill. From the hair design, it seems much effort has been invested in the hair's positioning on the figure.
Closeup on Toka's center hair frill. This part is quite fragile so handle with care!
Closeup on Toka's body. A lot of details have been put on this part. I like the nice gold painted parts.
Left side closeup on Toka's body. From this angle, the flowing red ribbons can be seen clearly. I also like how the boots and arm clothing painted in milky pearl white.
Closeup on Toka's flowing ribbons. The neck guard of Toka's outfit is nicely painted as well in gold and black.
Closeup on Toka's hands. It is strange how the mold of Toka's left hand seems rough while the right hand is fine and smooth. But check out the nice painted golden linings on the top of Toka's boots.
Closeup on Toka's chest. The paint jobs done here are mostly okay apart from the black vertical linings which are rough and uneven at some points.
Right side closeup on Toka's hip. Nice clean gold painted linings.

Closeup on Toka's neckguard.
Closeup on Toka's right foot. No paint spilling over here which is a good thing.
Closeup on the base of Toka's feet. There is a hole at the base of each foot which is used to secure Toka on her clear display base.
Closeup on Toka's right shoulder.
Closeup upskirt view. Not trying to be naughty here but just to show the amount of detail put into painting Toka's pink underwear.
Closeup on Toka's hands once again to show the difference in quality between the left and right hand.
Closeup on Toka's flowing cape ribbons painted in milky pearl white.
I like how the painted pink lace has a nice contrast with the milky pearl white with the golden linings on Toka's flowing cape ribbons.
Closeup on the golden painted engravings on one of the flowing ribbons on Toka's cape.
Even the inner side of the cape is painted with golden linings albeit rather roughly compared to the outer side.
I thought these holes on each side of Toka's flowing cape ribbons were to secure it in place when attaching it to the body but I was wrong.
Even the inner sides of the flowing ribbons have good golden painted linings.
Closeup on Toka's sword.
Love the metallic green effect.
The blade of the sword is nicely detailed.
Closeup on Toka's display stand which is made of clear plastic.
Closeup on the golden imprints on the display base.
Engravings molded onto the display base which reads "©BaseSoft Made In China".
Overview of all components before assembly.
First step, assemble the head onto the body which is connected via a peg in the neck.
Then secure Toka onto the display base via the pegs found on each foot.
Next is to attach the flowing cape ribbons onto Toka.
Then finally attaching the sword onto the grasping hands.
