Solar Turntable Delivery Review
I have been using my solar turntable display stand for some time now and apart from some minor faults it is still in working condition. I decided to acquire 2 more solar turntable display units and this time they are from a different seller located in Hong Kong. Here is an overview of the delivery parcel. It is a bit dented on the left side of the box.

Upon opening the parcel box, I am pleased with how the seller packed my solar turntable units separately wrapped with bubble wrap and buffered with packing foam blocks. In my previous delivery of solar turntable display stand, the seller only used a string tie envelope and bubble wrap to pack the item. This is definitely an upgrade.

After unwrapping the bubble wrap I finally opened up one of the boxes of the solar turntable display.

Even though there are other color variations of the solar turntable display stand, I am glad that I got silver gray again to match my existing unit.

Revoltech Detroit Metal City Super Cheap Sale Review
Playasia is having a fantastic more than 77% discount off of Revoltech Detroit Metal City action figures! For the uninitiated, here is an excerpt from wikipedia on the anime Detroit Metal City:
Soichi Negishi is a shy and gentle young man who dreams of a career as a pop musician. Dreams don't pay the bills, so he's ended up as the lead singer and lead guitarist of a death metal band called “Detroit Metal City.” In stage costume he is Johannes Krauser II, rumored to be a terrorist demon from hell, to have killed and violated his parents, to wield his giant death member with abandon, etc. etc. Negishi despises DMC and all that it stands for, but so help him, he's a terrific performer and can't walk away from that. As DMC's star rises Negishi tries to satisfy both worlds, but can't.
Normally selling at US$21.90, now you can (hopefully) grab the whole set of 3 for US$4.90 each. That's US$14.70 for 3 and if you manage to be one of the earlier buyers Playasia will try their best to give you the whole set but no guarantees so first come first served!

For US$4.90 a piece, they are practically a steal!!! Get yours now before the time runs out!!! Only valid from 24 March 2010 to 31 March 2010.

HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock Delivery Review
I ordered a HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock for my friend Haiqal in the beginning of February 2010. After nearly 3 weeks of waiting the postal notice for the small packet delivery has finally arrived at my doorstep. Here is an overview of the delivery package.
The delivery is from Hong Kong and like most of my previous Hong Kong deliveries it was wrapped in green packing paper. Lets just hope that the seller used another layer of hard cardboard underneath the green packing paper.
Here is a closeup on the customs declaration label affixed to the delivery package.
The seller opted to use conventional postage stamps which is good. Kinda makes me want to start collecting stamps again.
A closeup on another postal stamp used featuring the white wagtail bird.
Side view of the delivery package. From this angle you can see some depression at the middle of the package. I just hope its nothing serious.
After carefully unwrapping the green packing paper it is a good thing the seller used a layer of cardboard to protect the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock with.
But looking back at the side angle previously we can see that the depression at the middle is still there.
This is how the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock looks like after removing the layer of cardboard. Nice to know that the seller actually paid attention to my notes requesting for bubble wrap and hard cardboard to be used for packing. Too bad the cardboard used was not hard enough to prevent the depression damage.
Rear view of the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock still in bubble wrap.
Overview of the packing materials and the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock.
Overall I am pleased with the delivery of the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock. The seller has paid attention to my delivery notes by using cardboard and bubble wrap for packing. It is a shame that the rough handling of the postal workers caused a mild depression on the box of the HCM Pro Gundam Sandrock.

GHD Serpent Custom Gundam Model Kit Review
Finally! It has been quite a while since I posted the GHD NG 1/100 Serpent Custom Gundam Model Kit Assembly Video Review and now we get to see the actual review of the completed Gundam model kit. I was somewhat in a rush during the photo shoot session and had forgotten to include a comparison photo with my clear soda can like my previous TT Hongli HG Blaze Zaku Phantom Gundam Review. Well here is a frontal overview shot of the GHD Serpent Custom.

Arm and leg articulation range. I had to hold up the GHD Serpent Custom for this shot as the kit itself is very flimsy and cannot possibly support itself on one leg.

The shoulder part actually has a gimmick that slides open to reveal missile pods.

Articulation wise, the GHD Serpent Custom is very flimsy with loose joints. The plastic parts are molded with defects and lots of access plastics that I needed to shave off for a tighter fit during assembly. If I didn't spray paint the parts I doubt the GHD Serpent Custom would have any redeeming qualities at all.
The GHD Serpent Custom is OK for display in standby mode but once you try to pose it dynamically you will probably end up being frustrated with loose joints and limited articulation ranges. Luckily my sis got the GHD Serpent Custom from the bargain bin for about $5USD and I think that is a fair amount to pay to experiment on GHD Gundam model kits.
My Love For Life Gundam Review rating for GHD Serpent Custom: 1.5/5
