The Best Damn Thing is Avril Lavigne's third album release, after Let Go (2002) and Under My Skin (2004). Comparatively speaking, The Best Damn Thing is more upbeat and dare I say catchier than her previous releases.

My favorites include Girlfriend, Runaway, The Best Damn Thing, Innocence, Contagious and Keep Holding On. Definitely more upbeat than her previous releases.
