The Pursuit Of Happyness Movie Review
The Pursuit of Happyness was released on December 15, 2006. Will Smith stars in his first movie together with his real life son Jaden Smith playing similar father and son roles. The movie is based on a true story about Chris Gardner, a man who struggled in life while trying to raise his toddler son and finally achieving "Happyness" in life.
The movie is set in the year 1981 in San Francisco, where we see Chris (Will Smith) still living together with his wife Linda (Thandie Newton) and their 5 year old toddler son Christopher (Jaden Smith). Things turned for the worse when Linda decided to leave Gardner taking 5 year old Christopher with her.
Throughout the movie, we see how Gardner struggled through his financial hardships and homelessness while taking care of his son. The spirit of perseverance and never giving up on pursuing your dreams are portrayed beautifully in The Pursuit of Happyness. I highly recommend this movie for all to remind us of our own life struggles and dreams will come true if we do our best and never give up on them.
